In 2017, history was made in Nazaré.
Brazilian surfer Rodrigo Koxa rode a monstrous 24.38 meter (80-foot) wave, setting a new Guinness World Record — the biggest wave ever surfed.
Right behind him, ensuring his safety and success, was Sérgio Cosme, the rescue pilot and guardian angel of Nazaré’s big-wave riders.
That day didn’t just break a record — it redefined what was possible in the ocean.
It became a symbol of trust, teamwork, and fearless passion, values that live on today through Jet Sessions.
